The Fuchsröhre

What can I say? There was beer, there were Swedes (Anders, Ulf, Tony, Thorsten), Brits (Euan), Dutchmen (Niek, myself), Swedes in exile (Tony), some assorted other nationalities (Lillan), and of course Sabine and Guido. And some locals, but we outlasted them easily :-) It was nice to be able to talk to Thorsten and Swedish Tony and get some pointers about lines. Besides, it's always fun to talk about cars and driving :)

Apparently Sabine never uses the ladies room. Translation for the German-language impaired: the red sign says "Women drive better". The black writing underneath adds "busses and trains"...

I tried to take a picture of Niek's place in the hall of fame: an enlargement of his rolling 309 at Brünnchen, taped to a large mirror on the wall. It looked really good, but taking pictures of mirrors in the dark tends to be a bit difficult. This one came out rather well :)

Niek made it to the hall of fame

The rest of the evening is a bit of a blur, either because of a memory overload or because I had too much Coke. I do remember Sabine coming over to make sure I would bring her a copy of my Schwedenkreuz moment, and that I mentioned I was jealous of the little local dog sitting on the bench next to me. Sabine solved that in true Sabine style >;-)))

No, I'm not telling what she's laughing about

I also remember hearing some stories about the night before, involving (my words) things like "fuel injection" and "double ignition". I guess you had to be there :-)

Another memory is Sabine drawing an outline of the Ring on Euan's arm, tattoo style. That wasn't enough for her, so she added Ringers Crash Sites, indicated by crosses. I think she tried to draw 73 crosses on Euan's arm :) And of course, she also indicated the location of her own Fuchsröhre.

Yet another memory involves loud music and weird, semi-coordinated movements of both Sabine and Niek. There was even some physical contact, almost in sync with the beat ;) Like I said, you had to be there :) There was some weightlifting too, but to protect the guilty, I'll stop here, claiming total amnesia from this point of the evening onwards.

Fortunately for you, my camera doesn't suffer from amnesia. Just two more pictures, because you insist.

The mathematically inclined will have noticed that I have trouble counting, sometimes :-)
